Cards | Canasta

"March, 2018; Some of the Card Club members wanted to play Canasta. It can be a very long game which requires a bit of concentration so we decided to form a "splinter group".
We play in each other's homes in groups of 4 to 10 on a Tuesday from 2 until whenever the game ends, we usually set a target score. We are all beginners with a set of rules that we adhere to. So it's a learning exercise at the present. Hopefully we will improve over time. Very enjoyable anyway.

So - Card Club is on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 2 'til 4pm and Canasta Group is on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, 2 'til the end of the game.

"January, 2018 and our Card Club is now two years old. We have grown so much that we now hold our meetings in the Games Room at the Village Centre on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Our only limit on numbers will be if we simply can't get you in the room!

What do we play? As one member put it - 'we don't play bridge and we don't play snap but we do play everything in between'.

Members are always coming up with games that we have never even heard of before never mind ever played (Clobyosh?) so our two hours fly by."
